There are few things as revolting as a bitter person that walks around like the whole worlds against them! I am not saying I have not done this, I remorsefully have…
People will let you down, but like today, people will also make you laugh! People will hurt you, but you know what, they will also love you! So don’t become a ”SCAR FACE” just because one, or perhaps even twenty fickle human beings made you a little or even very miserable. Moments are supposed to stay moments, not life-times of un-forgiveness!
It is this one life on earth that we have, where we can make a difference. So likewise, let us not be those that sourly spoil another’s day. Similarly I also think the whole ”once bitten twice shy” quote rings true, use wisdom, do not invest where God has not instructed you to. This action out of the ”flesh” could cost you much misery!
Matthew 7:6 – ”Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”
Jesus saved the world at the cross, it is not your job, nor mine to do so. Perhaps if we thought of it this way, ”people” would not stress us out so much! I am speaking to myself here. It says in Revelations, that there are many whom we should just let be as they are. We are accountable for ourselves – so let’s make who we are count for something!
Revelations 22:11 – ”Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”
We should lead quite lives, minding our own business, not slandering and complaining as it instructs in the word of life. I pessimistically fail at this when I am angry but by grace I stand up again and move on! Moving on quickly is key! None of us are truly innocent so we in actual fact cannot hang on to bitter regret and spite, its deadly!
Matthew 7:5 – ”You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
We as Christians are blessed in everything because we have the best Dad in the world! May our Lord continue refining us through various trials so that we can work for ourselves a better and longer lasting JOY in Him! Jesus is Lord!
“What you have to decide… is how you want your life to be. If your forever was ending tomorrow, would this be how you’d want to have spent it? Listen, the truth is, nothing is guaranteed. You know that more than anybody. So don’t be afraid. Be alive.” – Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever.
