It does not matter how pretty it is - PULL IT OUT!

If you think this photo is beautiful – you’re wrong. The quality is good, the colors are lovely, the detail is superb … but the content is UGLY! It’s a weed which hosts harmful parasites and destroys all surrounding plant life weaker than itself! Its seed is spread via the free air-waves of the wind, animals and even by us! Sneaky – Sneaky!!

Typical example – the devil himself, he does not come in through the gate, nope – he climbs over the fence, under the fence or pops in through the back door!

That is how the weed of sin works to, one small thing leads to another small thing, which leads to yet another and WABAMMM!! It becomes one big problem!

When Jon took this photo while strolling outside with a glass of fruit juice in hand, I thought the picture was so lovely when he showed it to me … until I realized what it was. Of-course he was humored by my horror 🙂 ”Men!”

How many things are seemingly beautiful in your life, but are in actual fact choking you spiritually?! Have a look through your books, your music, and what about the movies you watch? How about your though-life?? I bet there are A LOT of things that need ”plucking out” … Just because you think its pretty – doesn’t mean it is! In actual fact it is UGLY!

I do ”plucking out” routinely, and as the Holy Spirit leads, like spring cleaning, dust usually gathers in the places where you don’t normally look!

I heard a sermon once, the man preaching said something that will remain with me forever! I can’t remember his name, apologies.

But he said something along the lines of:

”If my 6-year-old kid cannot watch it and it is not good for him, then I cannot watch it! If it is not good enough for him, it is not good enough for me!

Song of Solomon 2:15 – ”Catch for us the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards which are in bloom…”

DECEPTIVE little buggers those ‘black-jacks’ .. creeping in. ”Pluck them and chuck them!”

When you take black jacks off of your clothes as they latch onto you, if you throw them back onto the ground, they will spread and more weeds will sprout from them. So … do not give your nonsense to some-one else. Destroy it! The scripture below speaks of idols, but weigh this in your spirit first –

”If I am struggling to let this go, isn’t it a stronghold? If I do not want to let it go for the glory of God, am I not idolizing this thing?”

Weigh this up:

Music that brings dishonor to the King of kings and arouses thoughts, movements and lusts – this is not of God, then it should not be of you if you are His child.

Books that give glory to satan, not Jesus – what fruit will come of this?

Movies that ensnare your mind through fantasy, mysticism and devilish junk, tell me, how does this glorify the Most Holy of Holy’s? Our God will not be mocked, we really will give an account to Him who will judge us by His standards.

Acts  19:17-19 – “This became known to all who lived in Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks, and alarm and terror fell upon them all; and the name of the Lord JESUS was extolled and magnified. Many also of those who were now Believers came making full confession and thoroughly exposing their [former deceptive and evil] practices. And many of those who had practiced curious, magical arts collected their books and [throwing them, book after book, on the pile] burned them in the sight of everybody….”

Deuteronomy 7:26 – “Neither shall you bring an abomination (an idol) into your house, lest you become an accursed thing like it; but you shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.”
